Our History

Established in 1975, Bickers Powersports was founded by motocross champion and all-round motorcycle enthusiast Dave Bickers. Bickers began as a motorcycle parts and accessories shop in Ipswich in the 60s and quickly became the biggest motorcycle shop in the area, even supplying other shops to the then-known area of Anglia. The growth in distribution took the Bickers shop away from its original business, so on 2nd April 1975, Dave Bickers formed Anglia Accessories.

This new wholesale company was supplied by a specialist importer of motorcycle products owned by Peter McMartin; the first independent supplier of Japanese aftermarket parts to the UK. Both companies merged in the 80s, taking the Bickers name (Bickers Anglia Accessories Ltd) to become a leading supplier of parts and accessories to the aftermarket motorcycle market. It later renamed in January 2000 to 'Bickers' and then in 2025 to 'Bickers Powersports' as part of its 50th birthday celebration and homage to it's racing history.
In 2005, the company moved from its original base in Ipswich to a 3.5-acre site in Felixstowe where it has continued to grow and thrive with the benefit of ultimate transparency when it comes to incoming shipments, leaving plenty of time for product inspections and regulatory checks before products are dispatched to dealers across the UK.
